Question by fantabulous!: Where do I find out about estate sales and public storage auctions?
I want to see what I can come across out of curiosity, and BTW , I live in Riverside County, CA near Palm Springs.

You ask to be put on the Estate Sale company mailing list. They get their customers that way. You can find them in the phonebook or at whitepages.com (free business phone numbers- i don’t work for them).

Public Storage owners must advertise in a local publication in order to legally auction the unpaid items. They usually post the ads in the cheapest papers. If you go to the local library, you will be able to find them. Once you know where to look, you just go back to those papers. The auctions are also posted at the PS websites. They cancel lots of auctions at the last minute so call first.

Yeah I do, estate sales and auctions are awesome….I usually look for arrowheads, coins, knives, and mostly antique stuff.

Unfortunately I haven’t been to one in a while.

Its actually very hard because you are competing with so many people that have no business sense that will actually LOSE money to undercut you and not realize it. About 8 years ago i bought and sold stuff on ebay and i got my product through a distributor. My profit margins were very small (I made about 400 dollars from every 10,000 dollars in sales). I think the way some of the people make money is working with the manufacturers and selling the refurbished stuff. Working with manufacturers is a bit hard (I remember back when i was trying to sell DVD players sony said I had to buy at least 50 per week and this was back when DVD players were at least 200 dollars) I have no idea what the requirements are now.

Question by jumper1029: TB height and growth?
I just purchased a TB from a local horse auction/sale a few days ago. The “papers” he came with said he was 7…well, i got home, looked up his jockey club info with his tattoo…HES 3!! So i have an unraced, but apparently trained to race TB. He is currently 16.0 hh. Can anybody kinda figure out what he will finish out as ( height wise )

Don’t ya hate it when somebody plays merrygoround with papers? Anyway, he’ll probably grow another inch or two. They normally grow until they are four then fill out between 4 and 6.
